After years of neglect - necessitated by a rationalisation of their product portfolio and catalysed by a raft of concurrent organisational change - the web presence of the largely B2B food retailer Northern Foods was, during the summer of 2006, urgently in need of a complete overhaul.

Northern Foods asked Corporate Edge to undertake the project, and as contract information architect at the time, the task fell to me.

Working as ever within tight constraints of time and budget, I modernised the IA with a clean, simple taxonomy and an uncluttered, direct page design.

The project had its share of challenges frustrations, particularly a fast-moving (swooping, would be more accurate) target as far as content went, but the client was delighted with the result.
