Norwich Union’s Wealth Management service at www.norwichunion.com was a hugely ambitious project to create a one-stop financial portal to help people make more informed decisions about their money, their assets and their future. Norwich Union spent £250 million developing this online service - which never saw the light of day! - which looked at the five key areas of wealth planning.
The tools proposaed for the site included a 60 Second Wealth Check, a Wealth Maximiser, My Wealth Manager and Money News, which was an up to the minute news service from FT.com. As originally scoped, the website was also intended to include a fund supermarket, as well as share dealing and banking facilities.
Whilst Senior Producer at Victoria Real during 2000-2001, I led a team of 50+ producers, designers and developers that delivered the information architecture, graphic design and front-end development of this huge, complex site.
Working with a dedicated account team, I was the principal information architect and producer for this prestigious client account. Operating alone in an often hostile and stressful environment, I was responsible for originting solutions, production strategy, team leadership, client presentations at norwichunion.com board level and liaising with third party technology vendors including ETC and IBM. |
